I went to a few exhibition today, the exhibition I went to were: -
- Shaped By War: Photographs by Don McCullin at Imperial War Museum
- Anderson and Low ‘Circus’ at The Lowry Galleries
- Art and Advertising at The Lowry Galleries
- Urbis has Left the Building; Retrospective at Urbis.
Below are some images from the exhibition
Imperial War Museum
Don Mccullin
Don Mccullin's is known for his documentary photography. He took images in the first world war of soldiers and there surroundings. I found his work interesting how he experienced the war along side the soldiers. His work was used for newspaper back home to show what was going on in the War at the time. I found the images moving and each one told a story. I didnt find it relevant to what I want to photograph but i found it interesting to see what happened in the War.
Anderson and Low ‘Circus’ at The Lowry Galleries
Urbis has Left the Building; Retrospective at Urbis.
I found the Urbis interesting to see all the different images and media going on. I was ashamed that the Urbis is being change into a football museum but for there last exhibition is was full of different and wonderful art work.
